Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough onsite training with new team members that demonstrates accurate procedures
  • Guide staff to empower consumers and promote independence
  • Provide productive feedback that aids in staff education and strengthens morale
  • Effectively communicate through emails, documentation, reporting, and guardian/case management correspondence
  • Attend requested staffing/meetings and make recommendations for enhancements of the consumer's lifestyle
  • Help consumers plan and prepare their choice of fun events and outings
  • Accompany consumers to scheduled medical appointments and communicate order changes in medication, treatment orders, and therapies
  • Meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparation
  • Assisting with self care- dressing, bathing or showering, brushing teeth, toileting, shaving
  • Medication Administration

Essential Functions/Requirements

  • 18 years of age
  • Acceptable Background Character Verification
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record for community coaching and support
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low position, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers
  • Communicate basic English
  • Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
